Level: Easy Total: 15 Min Active: 10 Min Yield: 1 servings
The Sausage McMuffin with Egg is a classic breakfast sandwich that has become an iconic part of McDonald’s menu. It consists of a perfectly cooked sausage patty, a fluffy egg, and a slice of melty American cheese, all sandwiched between a warm, toasted English muffin.

What I love about this recipe is its simplicity and the perfect balance of flavors. The buttery English muffin, savory sausage, fluffy egg, and melty cheese come together to create a satisfying and hearty breakfast. Plus, it’s easy to recreate this McDonald’s favorite at home.

Ingredients

Directions

❖ 1 English Muffin
❖ 1 tablespoon Butter
❖ 1 2-ounces Sausage Patty
❖ 1 large Egg
❖ 1 slice American Cheese
1 Toast both halves of the English muffin until they’re golden brown. Spread the butter over the insides.
2 Place the bottom of the English muffin on a plate and lay the slice of cheese over it.
3 Lightly grease the inside of the egg ring with vegetable shortening or oil, then set the egg ring on your nonstick skillet. Let the skillet and ring get good and hot over medium heat.
4 Crack the egg into the egg ring and use a fork or the tip of a knife to pierce the yolk. Sprinkle the salt over the egg.
5 Pour a bit of water in the pan around the outside of the egg ring and cover with a lid. Let the egg cook for about three minutes until it’s set.
6 While the egg is cooking, fry the sausage patty until it’s heated through.
7 Once the egg is done, remove the egg ring and place the cooked egg on top of the cheese. Add the sausage patty on top of the egg.
8 Finish by placing the top half of the English muffin on the sandwich.
