Knafeh is a traditional Palestinian dessert that’s both rich and satisfying. Often referred to as the national dessert of Palestine! In Arabic, Knafeh (Makloubeh or Maqlooba) means “Upside Down” meaning we take the pot and flip it upside down directly on the large plate. The main ingredient in Knafeh is a stretch of savory cheese sandwiched between the crispy crunch of golden shredded phyllo dough, drizzled with a sweet simple syrup. The dish is then garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro and extra sumac, which adds flavor. It’s then served warm and can be eaten as is or with a side salad or vegetables.
“Palestinian Knafeh is the best dessert you can't find anywhere in the world. What I love about this dessert is it's sweetness from the look to presention bring the Palestinian culture on your Table. Plus, it’s easy to make is very simple way at home”
