1 Marinate the chicken in a mixture of sumac, black pepper, cinnamon, paprika, lemon juice, and olive oil. 2 Cook the chicken until it’s tender and juicy. 3 Caramelize the onions in the same pan as the chicken, allowing them to absorb all the flavors from the chicken and the spices. 4 Once the chicken and onions are cooked, place the mixture on the taboon or Arabic bread. 5 Garnish the dish with fresh parsley or cilantro and extra sumac. 6 Serve the dish warm. It can be eaten as is or with a side salad or vegetables. |
